What Procedures Are Used in Smile Makeover?
There are many cosmetic dentistry procedures we can use, including teeth whitening, veneers, and dental implants. Smile Design considers more than your teeth. It examines the aesthetics of your entire face and aims to design a smile that reveals you in the best possible way. Smile makeup, as the name suggests, is designed to look better in many ways. With Smile Makeover, it is possible to align crooked teeth, close gaps, reduce protrusion, whiten, reduce gingival smile, widen narrow smile, change the length or shape of teeth, and complete missing teeth. A smile makeover usually includes at least the top eight or ten teeth, and sometimes the bottom eight or ten. The most commonly used treatments for smile make-up are multiple porcelain veneers, as they are the most conservative restoration and are strong and highly aesthetic.
However, porcelain crowns, bridges, implants and even implant-supported prostheses can be a part of the smile make-up depending on the situation. Smile makeup can also include rapid orthodontics, which uses Inman aligners to pre-align the teeth prior to multiple porcelain veneers or to align minor crowding in the lower teeth while only the upper teeth are veneered. If only the upper teeth are treated with veneers, the lower teeth are usually at least whitened.
Smile Aesthetic Treatments
Inlay/Onlay: Inlays and onlays made of porcelain or composite materials, also known as indirect fillings, are a long-lasting but cosmetic way of filling teeth with dental caries or similar structural damage. While dental fillings are molded inside the mouth during a dentist visit, fillings and onlays are created in a dental laboratory before they are placed and bonded by your dentist.
Composite Bonding: Chipped, broken, discolored or decayed teeth can be repaired or their appearance corrected using a procedure called composite bonding. A dental composite material with the appearance of enamel and dentin is applied to the cavity or the surface of a tooth, where the tooth is shaped, shaped and cured with a high-intensity light. The result is a restoration that invisibly blends with the rest of the surrounding tooth structure and the rest of your natural teeth to create a healthy, radiant smile.
Teeth Whitening: It is the most commonly recommended cosmetic dentistry procedure. Teeth are often stained due to smoking, food, drink (coffee, tea or red wine) or poor oral hygiene. Teeth whitening can improve the appearance of your smile.
Dental Veneers: Composite or porcelain laminates that are adhesively bonded to the tooth surface to smooth and repair chips and cracks will improve a worn appearance or severe tooth discoloration. Veneers may also be recommended if you have gaps in your teeth or if teeth whitening is not successful. Evaluate the cost of porcelain veneers and determine whether dental insurance can cover the cost.
Dental Implants: Dental implants are artificial tooth root replacements used as part of prosthetic (artificial replacement) dentistry to compensate for tooth loss. Often the result is not only an enhanced smile, but also a younger appearance, as missing teeth cause the face to collapse and make you look older.
Smile Makeup: Smile makeups include a comprehensive assessment of your smile aesthetics to improve your overall appearance. Typically, one or more cosmetic dentistry procedures such as veneers, dental implants, gum shaping and teeth whitening will be required for a few teeth in both the upper and lower arches to achieve the look you want.
Whole Mouth Reconstruction: Your dentist may discover the need to provide the necessary treatment to correct functional issues related to your bite, muscles, teeth, and bone structure, while first consulting you about a smile makeover to improve the aesthetic appearance of your smile. If you need a full mouth reconstruction, the materials available today enable your dentist to provide you with durable, functional and clinically sound treatments that look natural.
